ingredients
1 can organic chickpeas, drained
⅓ cup organic tahini
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 tsp salt
⅓ cup lemon juice
1 tsp cumin
1 tbsp Flora Red Beet Crystals
⅓ cup olive oil + more for drizzling
Pine nuts
Lemon zest
Fresh herbs - chives, basil, oregano
Topping ideas - feta, radishes, flaky salt, sun-dried tomatoes, paprika, parsley, rosemary, green onions, roasted red peppers or kalamata olives
method
Combine chickpeas, tahini, garlic, salt, lemon juice, cumin, and Red Beet Crystals in a food processor and blend. For a darker color, add another tbsp or 2 of Red Beet Crystals.
Drizzle the olive oil in slowly and continue blending until the mixture is smooth.
If needed, add more salt, lemon, seasoning, or garlic to taste.
Scoop mixture from blender and into a ramekin or container. Add chopped herbs, drizzle with olive oil and your toppings. The options are endless!
Serve with pita bread, pita chips, naan, or flatbread.
