Perfect for a quick weekday meal and a great way to effortlessly elevate your next pasta night!
your favourite long pasta (spaghetti, linguini, etc.), such as Kaslo Sourdough Spaghetti
2 tbsp olive oil
1 yellow onion or 2 shallots, diced
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
3 salmon burgers, thawed
1 cup whipping cream (full fat coconut milk or alt milk of your choice)
1/3 cup white wine
salt + pepper to taste
fresh dill or flat leaf parsley (optional)
Put a large pot of water on to boil + cook pasta according to package directions
On medium high, heat a sauté pan and add olive oil + diced onion or shallot.
Sauté until onion softens, then add minced garlic, continue to sauté 3-4 minutes more
Add salmon burgers to pan and break up into small pieces using a spatula
Stir + combine with onions and garlic.
Add white wine and sauté another 5 minutes or until alcohol in wine has evaporated
Stir in cream, reduce heat and let simmer for another 7-10 minutes. Salt + pepper to taste.
Pour sauce over cooked pasta and stir to combine. Top with fresh herbs and enjoy!
