makes 4 servings
⅔ cup brown sugar
½ cup unsalted butter
¼ cup honey
1 tsp ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
¼ teaspoon ground cloves
Pinch of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
fresh grated nutmeg or ginger (optional)
⅔ cup hot water
2 ounces Lumette's zero proof LumRum
whipped cream topping (optional)
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, butter, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Heat, stirring until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved (~5 mins). Remove from heat & stir in vanilla.
For each cocktail mix together hot water with 2 tbsp of your mixture in a mug. Add in the rum & stir to combine. Taste & add additional batter to adjust sweeter or spicier. Top with a whipped cream & fresh grated nutmeg or ginger.
